1. Information We Collect
To provide a personalized and effective experience, we collect several types of information:
- Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign up with a third-party service like Google, we receive information from them as permitted by your privacy settings with that service.
- Onboarding & Profile Data: We collect your answers from our initial questionnaire, including your relationship status, goals, and preferences, to tailor your journey.
- User-Generated Content: This is the core of your journey and includes your text responses, photos, videos, and voice notes for daily activities and your private Couple Feed. We also collect the content of any support tickets you submit.
- Partner Information: When you invite your partner, we process their email address to send the invitation. Once connected, your profiles are linked within our system.
- Payment Information: When you subscribe to a premium plan, your payment details are handled directly and securely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers.
- Technical & Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with our service, such as crash reports and usage statistics, to help us improve the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Personalize the Service: We use your onboarding data and historical responses to power our AI, which generates personalized weekly plans, daily tasks, and reflection questions.
- For AI-Powered Features: Your responses are analyzed by our AI to provide relationship insights and scoring. Our AI Helper also analyzes your drafted responses to provide constructive suggestions. This data is used solely for these features and to improve the AI's effectiveness for your journey.
- To Manage Your Account: To authenticate you, link you with your partner, and manage your subscription.
- To Communicate With You: To send important notifications, such as when your partner completes a task, and to respond to your support requests.
- For Billing and Payment: To process your subscription payments securely through Stripe.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Your privacy is paramount. We do not sell your personal data. We only share information under these limited circumstances:
- With Your Partner: The core of Heart Harmony is sharing. Your responses to daily activities and posts in the Couple Feed are shared with your linked partner according to the app's functionality and your transparency settings.
- With Service Providers: We use third-party services for functions like hosting (Firebase), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Brevo), and AI model hosting (Google AI). These services only have access to the information necessary to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to protect it.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption, to protect your information. Your private data is stored securely in our Firebase database. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You have control over your personal information:
- Account Information: You can update your profile information, such as your display name and photo, in the settings.
- Response Visibility: You can control the default visibility of your reflection answers in your Transparency settings.
- Data Deletion: You can request the deletion of your account and associated data by contacting our support team.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and, if applicable, through an in-app notification.
